All-around better design
The Versa 3 has the same square-ish watch body and metal frame as the Versa 2, but it now has a wider 1.58-inch AMOLED screen and slimmer bezels. In direct sunlight, it's vivid, clean, and easy to read. It can be left on all the time (in a toned-down version with less metrics) to give you a quick glance at the time without having to move your hand. You can select from hundreds of different watch faces since Fitbit supports third-party watch faces.
Fitness monitoring tools that are more advanced
Most Fitbit devices, at this stage, should be able to handle your basic fitness-tracking needs, such as measuring steps, distance, calories burned, and heart rate. The Versa 3 does a good job of covering the essentials and has the same fitness features as the more expensive Sense. It tracks 20 different sports, including indoor and outdoor swimming, and some exercise styles, such as running, have automatic workout detection if you forget to start a session.
If you're looking for health information, there's plenty more.
The Versa 3 is more than a fitness tracker, however. It also tracks other aspects of your health, such as SpO2 (blood oxygen levels), breathing rate, and skin temperature fluctuations while you sleep, all of which can help paint a more complete image of your overall health.
The battery life is unrivalled.
The Versa 3 may not be the smartest watch on the market, but it outlasts the competition when it comes to battery life. I was able to get almost three days of battery life out of the watch even though it was running on all cylinders with the always-on display active, a few GPS workouts, and sleep tracking.
